DAY 1 – Arrival in Hong Kong → Transfer to Hotel | Premenade Walk

We arrive in Hong Kong and transfer comfortably to our hotel in the city. After check-in, we take time to freshen up, settle in, and relax after the journey. We enjoy a leisurely lunch and ease gently into the rhythm of the city.

In the evening, we head out for a relaxed walk along the Victoria Harbour Promenade and the famous Avenue of Stars, where we see the iconic Bruce Lee statue overlooking the harbour. As night falls, we watch the spectacular Symphony of Lights show, where Hong Kong’s skyline comes alive with music, lasers, and colourful lights. After soaking in the views, we take the Star Ferry across the harbour to Wan Chai and back, and enjoy our welcome dinner on the way back to the hotel. Overnight in Hong Kong.

DAY 2 – Lantau Island & Victoria Peak

After breakfast, we set out for a day trip to Lantau Island, taking the spectacular Ngong Ping 360 cable car over mountains and sea to reach the famous Tian Tan Big Buddha. We explore the peaceful surroundings of Po Lin Monastery and enjoy the scenic views around the island.

After lunch, we return to the hotel and take some time to relax and unwind. In the evening, we head up to Victoria Peak on the historic Peak Tram, where we enjoy breathtaking panoramic views of Hong Kong’s skyline and harbour. If time permits, we may also enjoy an optional dinner cruise on Victoria Harbour before returning to the hotel. Overnight in Hong Kong

DAY 3 – Ferry to Macau & Explore the Casino District

After breakfast, we take the high-speed ferry from Hong Kong to Macau, enjoying a comfortable ride across the Pearl River Delta. On arrival, we transfer to our hotel, check in, and enjoy lunch before taking some time to relax.

In the evening, we head out for a stroll along Macau’s famous casino district, experiencing the vibrant lights and lively atmosphere of the Cotai Strip. Later, we watch the spectacular House of Dancing Water show, a world-renowned performance of acrobatics, water, and theatre. We return to the hotel afterward. Overnight in Macau.

DAY 4 – Explore Historic Macau & Taipa

After breakfast, we explore the historic heart of Macau, beginning at the beautiful Senado Square, surrounded by colourful Portuguese-style buildings and lively streets. We then walk to the iconic Ruins of St. Paul’s, one of Macau’s most famous landmarks, before visiting the nearby Monte Fort, which offers lovely views of the city.

After enjoying lunch, we head to Taipa, known for its charming streets and vibrant casino resorts. We explore the lively area and soak in the unique blend of heritage and modern entertainment before returning to the hotel. If on time we get to the watch the beautiful musical fountain at Wynn Resorts. Overnight in Macau.

Day 5 – Fly to Kaohsiung, Taiwan | Lotus Pond Visit

After breakfast, we transfer to the airport for our flight to Kaohsiung, a vibrant port city in southern Taiwan. On arrival, we transfer to our hotel, check in, and enjoy lunch before heading out to explore the city.

In the afternoon, we visit the famous Dragon and Tiger Pagodas at Lotus Pond, one of Kaohsiung’s most iconic landmarks, surrounded by temples and scenic lake views. In the evening, we come together for a welcome dinner, celebrating the start of our Taiwan journey. Overnight in Kaohsiung.

Day 6 – Cijin Island Day Trip, Sunfong Temple & Night Market

After breakfast, we take a short ferry ride to Cijin Island, a charming coastal escape just off Kaohsiung. We explore the island’s lighthouse, beaches, temples, and seaside streets, enjoying the relaxed atmosphere and beautiful coastal views.

In the evening, we visit the beautifully illuminated Sanfong Temple, one of Kaohsiung’s most colourful temples. Later, we head to a local night market, where we can stroll through lively food stalls and experience Taiwan’s famous street food culture before returning to the hotel. Overnight in Kaohsiung.

Day 7 – Formosa Boulevard & Love River Evening

After breakfast, we enjoy a relaxed morning before heading out to visit Formosa Boulevard Station, home to the spectacular Dome of Light, one of the world’s largest glass art installations inside a metro station.

Later in the afternoon, we visit Glory Pier, a beautiful waterfront promenade along Kaohsiung Harbour. In the evening, we enjoy a scenic Love River cruise or gondola boat ride, taking in the city lights reflecting on the water. After the cruise, we head for dinner before returning to the hotel. Overnight in Kaohsiung.

Day 8 – Train to Taichung & Museum of Illusions

After breakfast, we head to the station and take Taiwan’s comfortable high-speed train to Taichung, enjoying a smooth and scenic journey through the countryside. On arrival, we transfer to our hotel, check in, and enjoy lunch before taking some time to relax.

In the evening, we visit the fun and interactive Museum of Illusions, where mind-bending exhibits, optical illusions, and playful rooms make for a fascinating experience. Afterward, we return to the hotel for the night. Overnight in Taichung.

Day 9 – Sun Moon Lake Day Trip from Taichung

After breakfast, we set out on a day trip to Sun Moon Lake, Taiwan’s most famous alpine lake surrounded by lush mountains and temples. The scenic drive takes us through beautiful countryside before arriving at the lake.

We explore the lakeside area, enjoy peaceful views of the water and surrounding mountains, and visit some of the lake’s famous viewpoints and temples. In the evening, we return to Taichung and enjoy dinner in the city before heading back to the hotel. Overnight in Taichung.

Day 10 – Train to Taipei & City Highlights

After breakfast, we take the high-speed train to Taipei, enjoying a smooth and comfortable journey to Taiwan’s vibrant capital. On arrival, we transfer to our hotel, check in, and take some time to settle in.

Later, we visit the iconic Taipei 101, once the tallest building in the world, and enjoy sweeping views of the city from the observatory. In the evening, we can explore a lively Taipei night market for street food and local culture, or if we prefer scenic views, take a short hike up Elephant Hill for one of the best skyline views of Taipei. Overnight in Taipei.

Day 11 – Yehliu, Jiufen & Shifen Day Trip from Taipei

After breakfast, we head out on a full-day excursion from Taipei to explore some of northern Taiwan’s most fascinating landscapes and historic towns.

We begin at Yehliu Geopark, famous for its unique rock formations shaped by wind and sea, including the iconic Queen’s Head rock. We then continue to the charming hillside town of Jiufen, known for its lantern-lined streets, traditional tea houses, and beautiful mountain and ocean views. Later, we visit Shifen, where we see the impressive Shifen Waterfall and experience the local tradition of releasing sky lanterns along the railway tracks. On the way back, we also stop at the striking Golden Waterfall before returning to Taipei in the evening. Overnight in Taipei.

Day 12 – Taipei City & Departure to Bangalore

After breakfast, we head out for a short city visit before departure. We can explore the fascinating Miniatures Museum of Taiwan, home to incredibly detailed miniature worlds, or visit the grand Liberty Square Arch at the historic Chiang Kai-shek Memorial complex.

Later, we enjoy lunch in the city before transferring to the airport for our onward journey. We depart with wonderful memories from our incredible journey through Hong Kong, Macau, and Taiwan.

Though the journey ends here, the stories and connections made will stay with us for years to come.
